It is hard for me to believe it has already been two years since I had the opportunity to spend time in the Asiafo Amanfro Community. I vividly remember my days spent in the village making fu-fu, volunteering in the classrooms at the community school, picking out toilets that would later be installed into the village, and the wonderful people I had the pleasure of meeting during my time there. Never have I met such genuine and warm people and two years later, I still think of them often.

While the village of Akaa embraces simplicity in ways I think are sadly overlooked in our own culture, they too strive to better themselves and their education system in the same way we do for our own children. That is why I am asking for your help in supporting the leaders of the Asiafo Amanfro Community School continue their own education so they are better equipped to help others in their community. By donating to the Akaa Project this holiday season, you provide the opportunity for educators to continue their own education and in doing so, enhance the learning process for the students of the Asiafo Amanfro Community School as well as the community as a whole.
